Belt Ranking and Rewards Policy for Nomads

Because each country has different laws regarding how our community can borrow/lend properties, specific terms of service may be provided for the country in which the property is located.

Overview
NomadRooms believes that its members should be rewarded for their trust. Accordingly, members (known as Nomads) can benefit from various reward programs. Belt Rankings is a core reward policy that allows members to upgrade their ranking as they use accommodations and prove that they are good stewards and can be trusted.
How does it work?
When Members (Nomads) initially join NomadRooms, they are assigned the ranking of white belt. As they borrow accommodations using the NomadRooms platform, room owners will submit reviews concerning the condition of their property after the Nomad checks out. Over time Nomads with good reviews receive an upgrade in their ranking.
There are four possible rankings as listed in the below table.

What if?
- What if a member and a room owner disagree about the condition of the room after it was rented? Sometimes folks just disagree. NomadRooms staff will consider your reputation over a period of time. Over time you can prove the level of your stewardship.
- How do you decide rankings? Ranking are largely based on reviews submitted to NomadRooms regarding the condition of their property after it has been used by our members. The review are not made public because we want the room owners to be honest and not be afraid of reprisals. The exact system is not made public because we don’t want individuals to try to ‘game’ the system. We believe this is the best way to make it fair to all Nomads.
